As a huge fan of the podcast, it was surreal to lead the social campaign for the TV adaption of Limetown starring Jessica Biel. Even more surreal was playing the (unofficial) role of Creative Director for a behind-the-scenes video series featuring the two co-creators, Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie.
From Podcast to Picture
I flew to New York and interviewed Zack and Skip through the lens of how they adapted the podcast (hence the series name, “From Podcast to Picture”). I asked them about every nitty-gritty thought and decision, encouraging them to spare no detail. Once interviewing wrapped, I oversaw the editing and design, from planning each video’s narrative to giving creative feedback to picking out scenes to splice in. It was an unbelievably fun learning experience — no matter how many times I re-watched an episode to find the most perfect three-second visual for a voiceover.
In the end, From Podcast to Picture served as a social companion series to the TV show, a place where fans could go to learn how moments from the podcast were brought to life in that week’s episodes.
